Junior Coaching starts Sep 8th

Dear parents, here at Naas LTC we’re very proud of our children’s tennis lessons and programmes.

Therefore we have adapted a junior coaching programme which offers a range of fabulous children’s tennis activities and a whole host of children’s tennis lessons that cater for every age and ability.

It was fantastic to see so many children participating in our summer camp this year and we hope they will continue on with their tennis into the future, therefore I would like to introduce you to our schedule of junior coaching commencing in September.

This is our autumn term (1 lesson per week). If your child has participated in the summer camp but never had any coaching lessons before I would suggest the General Coaching (GS) – this is a great place to start as it provides an introduction to coaching in a fun environment. We then have an Improver Squad (IS) and a Development (DS) Squad, ideal for players who wish to take their game to the next level.

Junior Club Championships 2012

 Junior Club Championships 20th – 25th of August.

U/10’s, u/12’s, u/14’s, u/16’s and u/18’s singles events and graded doubles and mixed events.

 U/8’s Mini Team Event on finals day 25th August.

The cost per entry is €10 for one event (€5 for u/10’s), €15 for two events and €20 for three events.

The entry fee must be paid on the day of the competitors first match. Signup sheets for the competition are located in the junior clubhouse and on the junior noticeboard in the senior clubhouse.


There is only one signup sheet for the u/10’s event as entries are limited to 20 boys and 20 girls – this signup sheet will be located in the junior clubhouse during the week and on the junior noticeboard in the senior clubhouse at the weekend.


The closing date for entries is Tuesday 14th of August.


The draw will be published on tournament software (http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/home.aspx) prior to the first day of the tournament so it is the responsibility of each competitor to check 1. the time(s) of their match(es) and 2.check-in at the junior clubhouse no later than 10 minutes before their match(es).  It is requested that players please bring their own tennis balls as they will not be provided by the club.


Finals day will be held on the 25th of August, along with a Family Fun Day 2012!


Signup sheets for the Parent and Child competition 2012 which will be held on this day are also located in the junior clubhouse and on the junior notice board in the senior clubhouse.

Summer Camp Child Registration Policy

Dear Parents ,
A gentle reminder that all children must be signed in by an adult at the morning Summer Camp session. The club cannot accept registrations from unattended children and from this Monday morning – any unattended children will be sent home. This is in line with our Child Protection Policy.
We cannot have young children unsupervised around the car park and club before the camp starts at 10am. Parents may wish to arrange with friends to share registration of their children during the week. There is no limit to the amount of children an adult may register, as long as they take responsibility for the children in their care until camp starts at 10 am.
We hope to have resolved a few first week teething issues and the queues should be quicker from Monday !!

League Finals and Junior Open this weekend

Dear members, this weekend (Sat June 30th and Sun July 1st) our club will be completely booked out until 7PM each day. On Saturday, Dublin League finals will be using our 11 courts from 10am to 7pm – there will be 3 of our teams playing so please check the schedule here. On Sunday, the Junior Open kicks off early in the morning, with the 11 courts booked until 6pm, and 8 more until 7.30pm. If you don’t get to play – at least you will enjoy some great tennis!
